Job Description

We are looking for an Infrastructure, Exadata & Cloud Senior Engineer who will be responsible for delivering our customer infrastructure solutions for on-prem, public, multi-cloud and Cloud at Customer (ExaCC) platforms, understanding the Customer Business to provide the best service.

What you’ll do

  • You’ll support the operation of infrastructure and platform deployments on-prem and in cloud, delivering services that drive customer success and innovation, becoming customer’s trusted technical advisor.

  • Install, configure, and operate Exadata and other Oracle Infrastructure Platform products.

  • Deliver solution architecture advice, reviews, and conceptual support.

  • Analyze product problems to find resolutions.

  • Resolve new and complex issues, research technical enquiries, and handle user problems.

  • Support software installation, configuration, health checks, and performance assessments

  • Educate customers on product features, issues, evolutions, upgrades, benefits, and patches.

  • Support the stability, availability, and performance of critical business systems.

Job Requirements, Skills and Qualifications

  • Applicants are required to read, write, and speak Spanish, with fluency in English. Other languages are a plus.

  • Deliver services both remotely and onsite (Madrid area) depending on customer’s requirements.

  • Availability to work on 24x7 Standby mode or in “out of business hours” to adapt to specific customer needs.

  • Advanced problem-solving skills.

  • Written and verbal communication including the ability to communicate with technical and non-technical staff at all levels.

  • Ability to break down complex problems/issues to determine suitability and make appropriate assessments and recommendations.

Preferred Technical Skills:

  • Good knowledge of Linux Operating System, with preference over Oracle Enterprise Linux.

  • Knowledge and experience on Oracle Engineered Systems: Exadata, ODA, PCA. ZDLRA and ZFS storage technologies.

  • Nice to have: knowledge on Solaris operating system and Sun legacy products.

  • Oracle’s private, hybrid and public cloud solutions. Knowledge of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) services and architecture, including our ExaCC and ExaCS cloud solutions.

  • Knowledge on other vendor’s cloud infrastructure solutions.

  • Good automation process and technology experience around DevOps, GitOps, AI/ML, microservices.

  • Experience on Networking. Knowledge of physical and SDN network technologies

  • Overall knowledge on Security products implementation and maintenance, specially on Cloud environments.
