Netflix Coordinator, Production Management - Spain in Madrid, Spain

The Role

We are seeking an experienced Production Coordinator to join the Production Management team based in Madrid, Spain. This position would organize vital information and workflows for an increasing slate of projects in Spain from pre-production through archive and wrap. In this role, you will work closely with Netflix’s external partners (talent and producers) as well as our internal cross-functional teams.

The role is not an entry-level position and requires previous extensive experience on set and/or inside of a large film studio and/or TV network.

We are looking for someone passionate, flexible, able to pivot when necessary, thorough, and able to juggle multiple and diverse responsibilities with a strong emphasis in production apps and tools, organization, and great attention to detail at all times.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the onboarding process for production companies and freelance producers and coordinators to the Netflix ecosystem, tools, and resources.

  • Set up, schedule, and coordinate ongoing production meetings for partner-managed productions as well as internal meetings.

  • Attend key meetings, compile meeting notes, and track participant actions.

  • Serve as primary production contact for partners through pre-production, production, and wrap.

  • Serve as the bridge between productions and internal Netflix teams to ensure both sides receive pertinent updates in a timely manner.

  • Build internal and external relationships and maintain a timely stream of communication regarding projects, developments and sensitive information.

  • Track and oversee writing/development and production schedules and deliverables, as well as the overall local content slate, keeping stakeholders apprised of the status.

  • Maintain, update, and champion the use of our internal systems to track and manage show assets & paperwork delivery to Netflix (data entry and tracker maintenance for example).

  • Update production management “best practices” and refine production guidelines. Work with technical teams to train others to use Netflix tools and understand our workflow.

  • Be a “master of tools” for both internal and external systems. Always informed about updates, working on improvements and new efficiency opportunities to benefit the team’s productivity, as well as contributing as a beta tester and giving feedback to product teams.

  • Any other duties as necessary to support the productions and the Production Management department.

Qualifications

  • At least 5 years of production experience in Fiction and/or Non-Fiction, on set and/or inside a large film studio, TV network and/or production company.

  • International working experience.

  • Fluency in Spanish and English is required.

  • Understanding of the local production workflows.

  • Team player with an ability to supervise several projects in various production points (from development through delivery) in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong time management and organizational skills.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Must be tech-savvy

  • Proficiency in Google Docs, Sheets, Gmail, Gdrive, MS Word, and Excel.

  • Preferably familiar with post-production/editorial systems and finishing processes.

  • Preferably knowledge of Movie Magic Budgeting and Scheduling.
