This position performs technical responsibilities in support of the 24/7 needs of the Morrie Waud Large Animal Hospital of UW Veterinary Care (UWVC). Make a real difference in patients\' and their owners\' lives! Responsibilities: Tasks: Assist in all aspects of large animal nursing duties Ensures all medical treatments are safely and efficiently performed on patients Assist in patient euthanasia as requested by DVM Participate in rotating on-call and holiday shifts as needed Assist with urgent and emergent patient care, as requested by DVM Assist with teaching and training efforts of both 4th year veterinary students and new team members Have ability to work independently Bring a positive and productive attitude to the unit, and be willing to assist team members in need Institutional Statement on Diversity: Diversity is a source of strength, creativity, and innovation for UW-Madison.
