IO DATASPHERE INC Technical Support Engineer in MADISON, Wisconsin

JOB REQUIREMENTS: IO Datasphere, Inc. has been providing project management, software development and IT staff augmentation services to our clients in the Midwest and throughout the U.S. since 1996. We are an approved vendor on contract to provide software development and IT staff augmentation services for the States of Illinois, Michigan, Minnesota, Iowa, and Wisconsin. We also provide these services to businesses, as well as local and county governments, in the Midwest and nationwide. Our client is looking for a Technical Support Engineer to be part of a team that has overall responsibility for the computer and network infrastructure that supports the operations which includes over 6,000 computing devices. Tasks Provides maintenance and support for software and hardware. Installs, configures and troubleshoots computer hardware and software Provides technical customer support to all court system employees and takes corrective action. Performs field service to upgrade hardware or troubleshoot and resolve technology issues. Responds effectively and efficiently to unplanned events such as system failures or natural disasters involving production systems. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required: Must have excellent customer service skills Must have excellent communication and logical thinking skills Knowledge of computer operating systems and hardware. Skill in maintaining computer equipment in courtroom, offices, desks, and central server areas. Skill in technical troubleshooting. Physical Demands: Frequent lifting, standing, walking, sitting, handling, grasping, talking, hearing, repetitive motions, and hand-eye-foot coordination. Occasional reaching and feeling, carrying, pushing, pulling, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling. Occasionally move objects weighing up to 75 pounds. ***** OTHER EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: Skills Required: 2+ years - Experience in an Enterprise IT environment 2+ years - Experience installing, configuring, upgrading, and troubleshooting computers, printers, scanners, and other peripherals. 2+ years - Experience providing phone-based technical support. 2+ years - Experience in computer hardware and software support and maintenance. 2+ years - Proven ability to install, configure, repair and maintain computer hardware Experience implementing infrastructure hardware, address technical emergencies, and implement cyber security policies. Associate\'s Degree in computer science, computer technician, or related field Skills Desired A plus to have: Knowledge of digital audio recording equipment Knowledge of computer networking principals Knowledge and understanding of user account in an Active Directory environment Experience or training in supporting audio/visual technologies including video conferencing tools. Experience or training in supporting Windows Server. Experience or training in supporting Remote Desktop Services (Terminal Services). Experience or training in supporting Active Directory and Group Policy.
