Integrated Community Work (ICW) has an opening for a Full-Time and Part-Time Supported Employment Specialist! We are looking for a candidate who is professional, preferably has some experience working with individuals with disabilities, and is willing to learn how to best support our consumers in a plethora of different fields. ICW is a private, non-profit agency that provides a variety of supported employment and recreational opportunities for individuals with developmental disabilities. Our clients are in the Dane County area. Instruct individuals in career development techniques, such as job search and application strategies, resume writing, and interview skills. Plan and promote career and employment-related programs and events, such as career planning presentations, work experience programs, job fairs, and career workshops. Evaluate students\' or individuals\' abilities, interests, and personality characteristics, using tests, records, interviews, or professional sources. Provide disabled students with assistive devices, supportive technology, and assistance accessing facilities, such as restrooms. Assess needs for assistance, such as rehabilitation, financial aid, or additional vocational training, and refer clients to the appropriate services. Attend meetings, educational conferences, and training workshops, and serve on committees.
