JOB REQUIREMENTS: Job Summary: The School of Nursing at the University of Wisconsin-Madison is seeking a Statistician - Emphasis in Health and Social Science Methodologies to join our Research Design and Statistics Unit and support our research and scholarship mission. We seek candidates with experience engaging in collaborative research projects and providing consultation on research design and analysis, including innovative analytical approaches. The ideal candidate will be an organized, detail-oriented person with strong oral, written, and visual communication skills who enjoys working on challenging, time-sensitive tasks in a team-based setting. The person in this position should have a collaborative, consultative approach to their work and foster professional working relationships across the School of Nursing and larger research network on campus. They must understand how their position fits within the School of Nursing\'s larger inclusive excellence framework, which means providing a welcoming, supportive, equitable environment where all can thrive. The successful candidate will collaborate with a vibrant group of scientists and scholars conducting innovative and impactful research and scholarship aimed at improving health care services and individual and population health across the lifespan and continuum of care. Scientists in the School of Nursing conduct biomedical, clinical, health systems, health services, population health, social, and community research centered around the following priorities: -Aging and care of older adults -Children, family and reproductive health -Health equity -Public health and health systems -Mental health and substance abuse -Symptom science and palliative care -Health informatics, data science, and artificial intelligence The Research Design and Statistics Unit within the UW-Madison School of Nursing provides expertise to support design, methods, data-collection procedures, instrument development, data management, and analysis.
