Our pharmacy is growing and we are looking for an enthusiastic Pharmacy Technician to join our dedicated and passionate team and make a meaningful impact on patient well-being. UW Veterinary Care Pharmacy is a full-service, licensed pharmacy that supports our veterinary patients through both inpatient and outpatient services. Our Pharmacy Technicians rotate through a variety of stations throughout the week, including sterile compounding of injections, non-sterile compounding of capsules and suspensions, outpatient data entry and prescription filling, stocking automated dispensing cabinets, and assisting customers with prescription pick up. Responsibilities: Fills prescription medication requests, monitors pharmacy inventory, and interacts with customers and maintains patient records to ensure proper pharmacy functionality and provide quality customer service. 60% Receives, accurately measures, and labels medications based on prescription requests 20% Serves as an initial point of contact for customers, provides information, and processes prescription transactions and insurance claims according to established policies and procedures 20% Enters, audits, and amends prescription information and patient information in database and maintains patient records and medication inventory in accordance with regulatory policies and procedures Tasks: Prepares and compounds sterile medications in pharmacy cleanrooms for inpatient and outpatient use Compounds non-sterile medications, such as capsules and oral suspensions, for inpatient and outpatient use Prepares chemotherapy medications following University, UPS, and OSHA guidelines for preparation and disposal Fill and label inpatient and outpatient medications, such as oral medications, eye drops, ear drops, etc. Fills and orders prescription and non-prescription diets Provides...
