JOB REQUIREMENTS: Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant - Neuroscience ICU - 13132 DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES: Work Schedule: 100% FTE, mainly day hours with rotating night and weekends (10-12 hour shifts). Includes additional compensation for night and weekend hours. External hires may be eligible for up to \$10,000 sign-on bonus. As an Advanced Practice Provider, you\'ll play an integral role in our inpatient and ambulatory care teams by providing high-quality, cost-effective care to patients. We are seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to: * Provide care to adults with serious neurologic illness in our Neuroscience ICU and Progressive Care Units. * Collaborate with faculty, residents, fellows, surgeons, and nursing staff to provide on-going patient care and management. * Partner with larger team including Neurosurgery, Neurocritical Care and Neurology to provide medical and perioperative care during critical illness. * Perform routine clinical procedures independently as outlined in practice agreements/scope of practice. * UW Health is proud to be a Joint Commission accredited Comprehensive Stroke Program in WI with the ability to treat the most complex stroke cases in the state. If Physician Assistant: Bachelor\'s or Master\'s degree from accredited PA Program. Licenses and Certifications : Minimum - State of Wisconsin NP or PA licensure If Nurse Practitioner*: * Active RN and APRN certifications and licenses, including prescriptive authority, in state(s) of practice AND * Active board certification as a NP in area of clinical practice. These may include the following: Acute Care only (Adult or Adult/Gerontology will be considered only if previous ICU experience). If Physician Assistant*: * Active PA license, including prescriptive authority, in state(s) of practice AND * Active PA board certification All Nurse Practitioner and Physician Assistant applicants must have*: Active DEA license or ability to apply for such license prior to or upon hire. *Active license or eligibility to obtain active licensure in state of practice.
