JOB REQUIREMENTS: Medical Lab Assistant Sauk Trails Clinic - 8202 Excelsior Drive, 8202 Excelsior Dr., Madison, Wisconsin, United States of America Req #1792 Wednesday, February 28, 2024 Group Health Cooperative of South Central Wisconsin. BETTER TOGETHER Full time. Hours: Monday through Friday 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM. Occasional weekends. Why join our comprehensive laboratory department? Stable work hours Monday through Friday. GHC-SCW\'s smaller laboratory team provides a strong sense of community within the department and increased access and closer relationships to the department leadership team. Work only 3 weekend shifts per year, on average! Work only 1 holiday per year! No third shift rotations! Free parking at all GHC clinic locations! The Medical Lab Assistant is responsible for performance of phlebotomy, laboratory clerical work, and selected laboratory procedures. Responsibilities include: order entry, patient preparation, specimen collection, and blood drawing using standardized phlebotomy procedures. Additionally the incumbent processes specimens and performs basic waived lab testing. The Medical Lab Assistant works under the general guidance, direction and supervision of the Medical Laboratory Manager and/or the Chief Medical Technologist. Daily operational guidance and direction may be received from the Lead Medical Technologist.
