JOB REQUIREMENTS: Medical Assistant, Gastroenterology and Hepatology - 13728 DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES: Work Schedule : This is a part-time, 90% FTE, day shift. Shifts are scheduled Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM. No weekends or Holidays. Hours may vary based on the operational needs of the department. We are currently seeking a Medical Assistant to: * Join UW Health\'s gastroenterology and hepatology specialists who are national leaders in diagnosing and managing complex and chronic gastrointestinal and liver disorders, including inflammatory bowel disease, irritable bowel syndrome, acute and chronic liver disease, reflux esophagitis and hepatitis. * Provide quality care in a compassionate and patient-family centered environment. * Promote healthy lifestyles, wellness, and education. Equal Opportunity Employer-minorities/females/veterans/individuals with disabilities/sexual orientation/gender identity ***** OTHER EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: Education : Minimum - High School Diploma or equivalent and ONE of the following: * Completion of an accredited medical assistant program OR * Licensure as an LPN OR * Completion of the UWH Medical Assistant Apprenticeship Program OR * Attainment of the CCMA certification as a UWH employee OR * Acceptance into the UWH MA Apprenticeship Program - Accelerated OR * One year of recent Medical Assistant experience and CMA, RMA or CCMA Certification Work Experience : Preferred - * One (1) year of experience as a Certified Medical Assistant or LPN Licenses and Certifications : Minimum - * Certified as CMA, RMA, or CCMA or eligible for certification.
