JOB REQUIREMENTS: Job Summary: This position oversees multiple projects simultaneously, performs site visits on a regular basis, ensures that timetables are on schedule and that all safety and compliance regulations are being followed. This position manages project timelines, and ensures quality work is being conducted, manages project construction budgets and ensures they are on target, oversees the reviews and approves all job estimates, change orders, and ensures clearance is achieved on each site. The EHS manager serves as the liaison between the construction contractor and the LSHP applicants and assures the quality of the project, as well as manages the expectation of each applicant, ensuring that both the construction staff and applicant are happy with the progress of the project. The incumbent will: assign and manage the work of a regional LSHP EHS that will support the local health departments; program administrators; conduct and review risk assessments and their associated scopes of work on enrolled properties to ensure conformity to LSHP policies; conduct site visits to support lead hazard identification and inspection of abatement work practices; work with the LSHP contractors to educate and correct any problems as they arise; review all clearance reports to ensure safety of occupants; and track status and progress of all properties enrolled in the program.
