JOB REQUIREMENTS: Job Summary: Under the general supervision of the Director of the Information School (iSchool), teach LIS 640 Topics in Library and Information Studies: TLAM: Act 31 Services and Resources, in an online format during a portion of the summer semester of the 2023-24 academic year. Duties include: course development to update a pre-prepared syllabus and materials to be delivered online in consultation with iSchool staff prior to the first day of class, delivering lectures and discussions online during session CCC (6/10 - 6/30/24), creation of new materials in consultation with iSchool staff, fielding and grading of prepared assignments and/or examinations, holding synchronous office hours and consulting with students via email or by other means. Responsibilities: Facilitates classroom, online, and/or laboratory instruction and assists with instructional development and design for a single course or series of courses within an academic discipline to support the delivery of quality instruction. Provides for-credit instruction in formats such as classroom, online and/or laboratory settings, including grading. Serves as an instructor of record. 80% Facilitates classroom, online and/or laboratory instruction for one or more courses, including assessment of student performance 10% Develops instructional design and curriculum relevant to a course of instruction 10% Serves as an initial point of contact for students as it relates to specific course or series content and expectations Institutional Statement on Diversity: Diversity is a source of strength, creativity, and innovation for UW-Madison.
