American Family Insurance - Corporate Lead Executive Compensation Analyst (Flex Home/Office) in Madison, Wisconsin

Accountable for evaluation, implementation, and consultation of the company’s executive compensation programs, including annual pay planning and short and long-term incentive plans. Works closely with the departmenet leadership to assist with the development and review of compensation committee and board meetings. Maintains awareness of business climate and internal and external factors impacting executive compensation programs.

Position Compensation Range:

$95,000.00 - $161,000.00

Primary Accountabilities

• Works closely with compensation management and executive management to assist and/or plan for and develop and review of materials for the company’s compensation committee and board of directors.

• Manages quarterly and annual scorecards for executive and non-executive compensation programs, and assist with annual goal setting. Prepares summary information, exhibits, and models supporting compensation recommendations.

• Researches and assesses market prevalence and trends regarding compensation design, variable pay and job market pricing.

• Consults on executive compensation programs including administration, communications, improvement of existing processes, creation of new processes, and individualized/custom solutions.

• Acts as an internal resource to executives on executive compensation issues. Ensures questions from executives are researched and responded to in a timely manner.

• Stays abreast of trends/changes in the legal and regulatory environments and provides analysis on how changes may impact executive compensation programs or incumbents.

• Manages various ad-hoc requests and various types of agreements (i.e. employment agreement, retention agreement, etc.)

• Leads the required annual executive compensation filings.

• Provides support for the design and administration of board of directors’ compensation program.

Specialized Knowledge & Skills Requirements

• Demonstrated experience providing compensation customer-driven solutions, support or service.

• Demonstrated experience applying critical thinking to the compensation analysis of information and making recommendations accordingly.

• Demonstrated experience assisting in designing and implementing compensation programs and processes (i.e. salary structures, incentive plans, job pricing, and merit).

• Demonstrated experience leading, managing and/or consultation on high complexity projects, including linking and coordinating across multiple stakeholders including different business units and external partners

• Demonstrated communication skills and experience including creation of documents, communications, and presentations that convey complex topics in a manner or format that makes them attainable.

• Demonstrated experience interacting with management at all levels and build effective working relationships.

• Solid knowledge and understanding of business and financial measures.

• Demonstrated experience and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
