JOB REQUIREMENTS: Job Summary: The University of Wisconsin Carbone Cancer Center (UWCCC) and the Division of Hematology, Medical Oncology and Palliative Care, Department of Medicine at the University of Wisconsin, is seeking applicants for a full-time professor, associate or assistant level professor (CHS) hematologist, with a focus on classical (non-malignant) hematology to join our faculty. The research focus could include health services or clinical trial research. The Division of Hematology, Oncology, and Palliative Care at UW-Madison includes 68 faculty, 31 Advanced Practice Providers, and 16 Fellows. The division\'s faculty lead cutting-edge basic and translational research programs in classical and malignant hematology, cellular therapy, cancer biology, cancer prevention and screening, and medical oncology. Responsibilities: The successful candidate will join a world-class institution that encourages, values, and supports interdisciplinary basic, clinical and population health research, and attracts scholars and students from around the world. Madison is the state\'s capitol city with a population of over 270,000 and offers an ideal combination of natural beauty, stimulating cultural events, outstanding schools and outdoor recreation. Duties include 60% direct patient care at the Eastpark Medical Center and UW Health\'s main campus, including ambulatory, inpatient and consult service attending; proactively supporting efforts to improve diversity in clinical trial participants; 40% protected time to develop and teach a research or education program and to engage in related scholarly activity. The primary clinical practice will include inpatient, consult and ambulatory care at UW Hospital and Clinic locations. Responsibilities of the candidate will include clinical duties, research, the teaching of medical students, residents and fellows, and potential outreach service activities.
