The Health Unit Coordinator facilitates unit operations and assists with all clerical duties on the patient unit, including greeting patients and visitors as they arrive. Coordinates the communication between nursing staff, physicians, other departments, professional staff, patients, and families relating to patient care.

    Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Keyboarding skills; effective communication skills; knowledge of data entry systems; the ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment; effective organizational skills

    Preferred

  • Knowledge of medical terminology strongly preferred

  • Must be available the first week of employment for HUC orientations that takes place Monday - Friday 8AM - 4:30PM*
