JOB REQUIREMENTS: Job Summary: About Us: The UW School of Medicine and Public Health (SMPH) is a leader in research and innovation, dedicated to improving patient outcomes through advanced data science and analytics. We are seeking a visionary and experienced Program Manager to lead our new Wisconsin Health Data Hub (WHDH) recently funded by the EDA as part of the TechHub (https://news.wisc.edu/federal-funds-awarded-for-biohealth-with-uw-madison-leading-the-way/) initiative and drive transformative data science projects to enhance healthcare and research at SMPH. Under the direction of the Associate Dean for Informatics and Information Technology at SMPH (and PI of the Wisconsin Health Data Hub), the Wisconsin Health Data Hub Program Manager will oversee the strategic direction, execution, and delivery of the WHDH projects. This role requires an experienced leader with a deep understanding of healthcare systems, health data, exceptional project management skills, and the ability to drive cross-functional collaboration. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of leading large-scale health data projects and delivering impactful results for successful and efficient operation of healthcare sector. Key Responsibilities: - Strategic Leadership: Define and drive the strategic vision of the WHDH program, in alignment with the overall SMPH goals. - Program Management: Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of the data hub and data science projects, ensuring they meet quality, scope, and timeline requirements. - Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a multi-functional team of health informatics professionals fostering a culture of innovation and excellence. - Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, including policy makers, healthcare providers, researchers, executives, vendors and industry partners. - Resource Allocation: Manage resources effectively, ensuring optimal allocation of personnel, budget, and technology to achieve program goals. - Performance Monitoring: Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track program progress and success, making data-driven decisions to...
