JOB REQUIREMENTS: Genetic Counselor Assistant - 30047 DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES: Work Schedule : 100% FTE, Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm. We are seeking a Genetic Counselor Assistant to: * Work collaboratively to support the functions of the genetic counseling team across the organization. * Draw and update patient pedigrees using patient history forms. * Assist genetic counselors with administrative tasks such as patient scheduling, case preparation, sending faxes, writing letters of medical necessity and completing any additional paperwork, etc. * Call to obtain results or additional records from various hospital departments, outside laboratories, and/or physician offices prior to the appointment or as requested for emergent inpatient consults. * Perform literature reviews under the guidance of the genetic counselor.
