JOB REQUIREMENTS: Job Summary: The School of Medicine and Public Health (SMPH) Facilities Department supports and maintains SMPH facilities. This position manages various building, construction, and infrastructure initiatives by effectively utilizing resources within all facilities, including spaces leased by the UW SMPH. It collaborates with UW-Madison, UW Systems, and UW Health to identify and plan for short- and long-term space allocation projects. The Facilities Project Manager coordinates construction and work orders under the direction of the SMPH Facilities Director. The incumbent will contribute to the coordinated planning environment within SMPH Facilities. The main priority will be collaborating with units to administer and manage construction plans and work orders aligning with UW-Madison and SMPH strategic priorities and the overall campus facilities framework. The incumbent will work with the SMPH design team and facilities building management operations team to review and prioritize space needs, propose solutions, and coordinate space preparation, construction, and relocation details as needed. This position will engage in departmental and leadership-initiated space requests from start to finish. This position is the liaison with UW-Madison Facilities Planning and Management (FP&M), UW Health, and leased site staff and contract services. It will represent the SMPH in a respectful, timely, and professional manner.
