JOB REQUIREMENTS: Job Summary: The Office of Admissions & Recruitment (OAR) is seeking an Engagement Manager, Outreach Programs & Events to join the events team. The role will support the 50+ outreach programs and events hosted by the Office of Admissions & Recruitment. This position reports to the Assistant Director of Events under the Associate Director of Strategic Communications. This position will assist in the general coordination of undergraduate admissions outreach programming and events and will specialize in cultivating and sustaining internal and external partner, guest, and current student relations as they pertain to outreach programming and events. The incumbent will join a team that represents the University of Wisconsin-Madison via prospective first-year, transfer, and international student events, with a goal of attracting, recruiting, admitting, and enrolling a talented and globally diverse student body. The Office of Admissions & Recruitment is within the Division of Enrollment Management (DEM). UW-Madison is a major research university, nationally and internationally renowned. The Office of Admissions and Recruitment recruits and admits all degree-seeking undergraduate students; our enrolling class is approximately 8,400+ first-year and 1000+ transfer students annually. Responsibilities: Manages a program and/or programmatic activities. Initiates, develops, and implements operational services that support a defined project, program, work unit, or function to advance program goals and objectives. May supervise staff and/or approve unit expenditures. 10% Plans, implements, executes, and evaluates existing strategies and objectives for a program and makes recommendations to unit leadership for program or function enhancement 10% Identifies workflow needs, contributes to the development of strategic and operational solutions, allocates resources, and implements new or revised unit operational policies and procedures 20% May exercise supervisory authority, including hiring, transferring, suspending, promoting, managing conduct and performance, discharging, assigning, rewarding, disciplining, and/or approving hours worked of at least 2.0 FTE or equivalent...
