JOB REQUIREMENTS: Job Summary: The UW Brand Communications department is seeking an Assistant Director of Brand Communications to join our team and be a central piece of the brand storytelling for Wisconsin Athletics and its teams. Individual will serve as the secondary communications contact for our football program in addition to other sports as assigned. Looking for a highly motivated individual to creatively plan, implement and supervise our communication strategy, represent sports programs at events and serve as liaison between departments to promote athletic program and institutional communication goals. May supervise personnel with a work unit communications team. Responsibilities: Plans, implements, and supervises athletics communication strategy, represents sports programs at events, and liaises communication between departments to promote athletic program and institutional communication goals. 10% Assists in development of all strategic communication initiatives 30% Identifies and monitors all media relations, publicity, and player promotion requirements 30% Edits and distributes athletic communication materials for internal and external audiences 20% Manages communication of athletic statistics and record keeping 10% Lead / manage other responsibilities related to promoting and executing events Institutional Statement on Diversity: Diversity is a source of strength, creativity, and innovation for UW-Madison.
