U W-MADISON DIV. CONTINUING STUDIES Assistant Dean for Academic Services in MADISON, Wisconsin

JOB REQUIREMENTS: Job Summary: The Assistant Dean for Academic Services and Student Experience, MBA & Master\'s Programs will supervise a Technical & Operations Manager, and two academic program directors, one who oversees the Professional MBA and Executive MBA and the other, who oversees MBA & Master\'s programs. The Assistant Dean will interact with Wisconsin School of Business partners including Knowledge Centers, HR, IT, Facilities and Advancement. The Assistant Dean will lead efforts in moving forward in the implementation of Workday and will act as an Appeals Officer for student petitions. Additionally, the Assistant Dean will be visible at student programming in addition to planning and supporting student centered programming such as the Weikel Leadership Series, and special signature events, and will work closely with the program managers to plan orientation and graduation. Ultimately, the Assistant Dean will be a critical part of a team that drives the Wisconsin School of Business MBA & Master\'s Programs goal of offering a portfolio of academic programs that are responsive to the market needs and achieve high student satisfaction while producing strong, successful graduates. This position requires on-site work but may have up to 20% remote work with approval. Responsibilities: Serves as a senior academic officer within a school or college. Plans, organizes, and directs the day-to-day operations and strategic direction of an academic program or function within the school or college. 20% Establishes priorities that align with the strategic directives of the assigned school or college and ensures units effectively carry out duties in a way that best supports the academic mission of the university; provides direct supervision of department /program leadership staff and monitors compliance with laws, regulations, university policies, procedures, and relevant contractual obligations 20% Advises and collaborates with the Dean, Associate Dean, and/or Office of the Provost on critical issues, representing the functional area of supervision at appropriate meetings and events as requested; and serves on and/or leads various program and/or university committees as directed 10%...
