Robert Half is offering a full-time position for an Accounting Assistant to join a dynamic, family-owned, rapidly-growing company in the Drink & Beverages industry. As Accounting Assistant you will help with the day-to-day responsibilities in the accounting department. This position will support and work directly with staff accountants and provide back-up for accounts payable and daily cash management, as well as other ad-hoc projects. This opportunity offers the ability to grow and advance within the team and refine your skills on a daily basis. Looking for someone with experience to come and join this dynamic team.
Key Job Duties Include:
Performs a variety of routine and some non-routine clerical/accounting functions in accordance with standard procedures.
Assists with bank account reconciliations.
Prepares general ledger account analysis.
Assists in month-end and quarterly closing and reporting procedures as needed.
Processes weekly check run for one entity.
Sets up ACH vendor payments for multiple entities.
Provides backup for accounts payable.
Performing other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Requirements
One to two years of accounting experience preferred.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to multi-task in multiple company environments.
Proficient use of 10-key adding machine, proficient typing (data entry)
Proficient in Excel and Outlook.
Good oral and written communication skills.
Experience with Microsoft Dynamics GP preferred.
Must possess a valid driver’s license.
Ability to pass pre-employment drug screen.
