Position: Senior Director, WW Medical Neuropsychiatry Strategy
Location: Princeton Pike or Madison, NJ
The Worldwide Medical Neuropsychiatry Lead is responsible for developing and executing the medical affairs strategy across markets. This position will be responsible for medical strategy and oversee the execution of medical activities for Neuropsychiatry's franchises. This role may also provide medical affairs planning and support for other Neuropsychiatry indications. The Senior Director will lead a Medical Strategy team and report directly to the ED, Medical Neuropsychiatry Strategy (Medical Product Lead).
Key Responsibilities:
Medical leader for Neuropsychiatry medical strategy, leading and developing direct reports in the medical team. As lead of the Medical Neuropsychiatry will represent global medical in cross functional leadership forums.
Develop, communicate, and execute the medical strategy plan for Medical Neuropsychiatry worldwide. Responsible for requesting and managing medical budget to ensure execution to defined targets.
Provide ongoing expertise to execute on congress strategy, field medical plans, home office training, execution of TL plan and other medical strategies.
Lead regional medical affairs strategies in conjunction with clinical development, market access and commercial colleagues with focus on Major Markets and Intercontinental.
Partner with Medical SMEs, Brand teams, Local Medical leads, and key cross-functional partners (Commercial, Regulatory, Safety, Labeling, Supply & Manufacturing, Quality & Compliance).
Provides expert opinion on the current trends in the pathophysiology, diagnosis, existing and emerging treatment options as well as unmet medical needs to inform key medical and business decisions.
Provide medical support to the WW medical organization, including developing and delivering training curriculum and content for market field medical associates.
Partner with the medical matrix team to develop and execute the medical data generation plan, including Phase 4 and ISR planning, publication plans, and establishing BMS as a leader in neuropsychiatry.

Develop and maintain strong relationships with WW key opinion leaders, key professional societies, and organizations in collaboration with other global medical affairs functions and clinical colleagues through scientific dialogue pertinent to BMS Medical Neuropsychiatry interest. Lead and participate in WW advisory meetings with WW opinion leaders.
Adherence to job specific SOP and work instructions, completion of assigned SOPs and training within designated timeframe and adheres to job-specific SOPs.
Conducts business in accordance with BMS Values.
Qualifications & Experience :
Education
- M.D., D.O., PhD or equivalent degree, with minimum 10+ years' experience in the pharma/biopharma industry with demonstrated medical affairs experience in EU / WW markets
Experience
- Minimum +4 years of medical affairs (WW or US) specific experience in Neuropsychiatry experience is ideal.
Global Experience
- US or global experience is preferred.
Industry Knowledge
Strong understanding of the biopharma drug development and commercialization process.
Experience in clinical research and development, or medical affairs in Neuropsychiatry is preferred.
Skill Set
Seeking a balanced combination of scientific and business acumen with excellent planning and organization skills.
Strong scientific analytical skills with the ability to work under pressure, and to maintain scientific excellence within timelines.

- Demonstrated strength in understanding overarching company goals, performing strategic assessments, and developing clearly framed choices and recommendations.
Cross-Functional Experience
Experience working across a range of medical and/or clinical development roles is a plus.
Strong interpersonal skills commensurate with the need to work closely with both external physicians/scientists and numerous in-house support groups.
Demonstrated ability to maintain scientific credibility while executing the Medical Affairs plan, and to communicate scientific results and effectively respond to data queries from customers and/or consultants.

- Experience in analytics, particularly in relation to product launches.

- Experience in project and/or portfolio management with the ability to develop clear action plans and execute them.
