Job Title: Maintenance Technician
Job Description
We are looking to hire an Maintenance Technician due to company growth. This role involves working with large industrial boilers and machinery that are coal-fired and used for brick-making. The machinery includes hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical components.
Responsibilities
Troubleshoot, repair, maintain, and improve mechanical equipment, automated PLCs, robots, and computer-controlled equipment supporting production operations.
Bend conduit of all types and understand all phases of industrial wiring, including wiring of transformers, load centers, and motors.
Read and interpret drawings with limited supervision.
Perform mechanical repairs such as replacing bearings, gearboxes, welding, and preventative maintenance.
Conduct preventative maintenance, changeovers, and routine plant maintenance.
Read AC/DC voltage on a meter, check continuity, and troubleshoot and replace 3-phase, 480V motors.
Essential Skills
5+ years of experience as an industrial maintenance technician.
Competency in reading and interpreting schematics.
Ability to perform mechanical repairs and preventative maintenance.
Experience with conduit replacement and 480V 3-phase motors and controls.
Proficiency in reading AC/DC voltage on a meter and troubleshooting electrical systems.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with PLC troubleshooting is a plus.
Familiarity with hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
Ability to break down machines mechanically.
Knowledge of panel wiring.

Work Environment
The work environment is not climate-controlled and can be dusty. Employees work both inside and outside daily and should expect to have dirty clothes each day. PPE gear, including steel-toed shoes, safety glasses, gloves, safety helmet, safety vest, and ear protection in certain areas, is required. The shift is night-time, from 5:30am to 5:30pm, with a 2 on, 2 off, 3 on, 2 off schedule.
