We are looking for a highly detail-oriented individual to start a career as a Sample Logistics Tech: Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm. The ideal candidate will be excited about working in a highly structured environment with regular, predictable business hours and theyll look forward to being part of a busy little team full of great people doing intrinsically good work. This person will be an extremely hard worker, have a natural curiosity about how things work, be highly detail oriented and appreciate an environment where structure and following procedure are essential for success.

Were especially excited about candidates that have previous experience in a highly structured environment where they were focused on one task at a time but could easily jump to the next task when finished. Ultimately, a successful Sample Logistics Tech will have the ability to pay attention to all the details, know what it means to be part of a team and take ownership of all their responsibilities - making sure that samples are checked in correctly and efficiently ensuring a smooth workflow for their downstream teammates.

This isn't the traditional warehouse environment that you might expect to find on most logistics teams - the environment is a little less industrial and is more of a professional, technical environment. This team prepares water sampling kits and ships them out to our clients. This is legitimately one of the best working environments in Madison.

Responsibilities:

• Utilize iPad to check in water samples sent to our lab for analysis.
• Develop understanding of hold times and preservation requirements for different types of samples.
• Preserve samples with various acids and bases.
• Deliver samples to specific locations throughout the lab based on the requested analysis.
• Greet clients at the SandR window and make them feel welcome/valued.
• Answer occasional phone calls from clients with questions about routes and shipping issues.
• Review (and occasionally build) sampling kits.
• Utilize Excel to modify/update courier route sheets.
• Ship sampling kits to clients using UPS Worldship.
• Check in all chemicals and lab supplies sent to the lab.
• Occasionally drive a courier route with multiple stops picking up samples in the southern half of the state, including Indianapolis.
• Learn how to plan - build a daily schedule.
• Communicate well with your leaders and teammates.

• Ability to lift 40lbs from the floor.
• Willing to sweep a floor, wipe down a lab bench, or take out the trash, if thats whats needed to get the job done.

Pay: From $17.00 per hour
