What you'll do
Join the APP team as a customer facing Application Engineer supporting the metal packaging industry. Henkel's Metal Packaging team is the recognized global leader of sealants and surface treatment chemistry. Be part of the team that delivers new sustainability solutions and innovations to the most recycled food and beverage packaging container, the metal can.
You provide technical guidance to customers, understanding their needs and recommending solutions.
You provide customers with lab-based and customer-facing projects, including performance validation and data generation, and designing test methods for new applications.
Your work with cross-functional teams in sales, product development, marketing, and others to solve technical issues for our customers.
You provide technical application training to our internal teams and external customers.
You educate our customers on the performance capabilities of Henkel's products and services via technical support, reports and presentations.
What makes you a good fit
BS in Engineering required, Mechanical Engineering preferred.
7-10 years of work experience required, can and metal treatment experience highly desirable.
Comfortable working with machinery, equipment oriented.
Ability to travel 40-60% of the time domestically.
Good problem-solving skills.
Project management experience.
Six sigma discipline with general knowledge of stats.
Effective communication, excellent written and oral skills.
Sound computer skills in MS Office applications.
General knowledge of chemistry.
The salary for this role is $82,100.00 - $114,200.00. This is the range that we in good faith anticipate relying on when setting wages for this position. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and this range. This salary range may also be modified in the future.
