About the Job:
The Medical Assistant is responsible for assisting the LPN and physician in providing direct patient care and health-teaching designed to meet the age/developmental specific needs of Family Medicine patients. Medical Assistants deliver quality care by offering excellent customer service and participating in a team centered approach towards patient care. Must be proficient in order entry, providing clerical and patient related support in the functional areas of record keeping, scheduling, and utilizing knowledge of office policy and procedure, verification of patient demographics, patient record filing and retention, verification of physician orders, and scheduling patients for follow up appointments and referrals for the Internal Medicine practice.
Requirements:
High school diploma or GED required
Medical Assistant Certification highly preferred
BLS required
