Conagra Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) - 1st Shift in Macon, Missouri
Job Summary
You will contribute to the Health and Wellness of all facility’s Team Members through programs, policies, and training. You will train and work with Managers regarding employee health and wellness, including proper documentation and ergonomic programs. You will also manage medical for work related injury incidents, as well as manage the incident investigations and preparation of incident reports. You will work with EHS to ensure a safe and incident-free work environment including Conagra’s key concepts to provide a road map to zero injuries and a world class performance in EHS.
Job Description
This is an onsite position located in Macon Missouri. You will provide professional nursing care for the comfort and well-being of employees. You will assist and monitor employee’s wellness needs. You will observe and maintain records on patient care, condition, reactions, and progress. You will also help develop preventive health care programs. This position requires the right candidate have teaching and training skills. Shift will be 7:30 am -4:00 pm, some Saturday may be required.
Responsibilities
You will provide professional nursing care for employees.
Observes and maintains record on patient care, condition, reactions and progress.
Help develop preventive health care programs.
You will support implementing company safety programs.
You will participate in plant tracking mechanism regarding near miss', injuries, OSHA recordables.
You will report to an onsite Environmental Health & Safety Manager.
You will participate in safety groups involving our employees.
You will support plant programs that involve safety and quality.
Other responsibilities as assigned.
Position Qualification
Minimum education requirements: LPN
Must hold appropriate licensure/certification in the state certification.
Minimum of 2 years occupational health experience, preferred.
Strong teamwork, problem solving and communication skills.
Bachelor's degree preferred as well as previous experience.
Physical Requirements
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The employee frequently is required to stand and walk. The employee is occasionally required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, and feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; taste and smell. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. The employee will be exposed to a noisy environment that varies from hot to cold in temperature. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
