Lighting Consultant
This is a Level 4 or 5 Exempt Position
Location: Atlanta or Macon
JOB SUMMARY:
The Lighting Consultant position will support Lighting Services Business Unit at Georgia Power. Lighting Services relies on this position to respond to requests for regulated lighting sales, provide sales support for unregulated lighting, cultivate profitable sales leads, and deliver world class customer service to residential, small commercial, and municipal customers. Duties include handling outdoor lighting billing inquiries, installations, repairs, removals, light relocations, securing contracts, and creating Distribution Work Estimates.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s degree preferred
Electric Utility experience preferred
Customer Service experience preferred
Experience working with outdoor lighting
Working knowledge of distribution mapping, software is preferred (i.e.:JETS, GIS, CSS, Distview)
Knowledge of outdoor lighting design, products, rates and engineering
Excellent communication skills
Detail oriented with good organizational skills
Excellent computer skills
Ability to learn and apply knowledge quickly
MAJOR JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Respond to customer requests for outdoor lighting, billing, relocations, and removals
Meet with customers and determine lighting needs.
Estimate costs, order materials, and bill the customer using the Job Estimating and Tracking System. (JETS)
Stake jobs for accurate installation of material and create installation package for the installation coordinator
Interact with our distribution mapping system to create construction prints and as-built drawings that will be added to the distribution base maps
Access the Customer Service System (CSS) to obtain account information relating to customer's lighting, entering case notes and repair orders as well as updating customer's information.
Lighting Consultant must have a personal vehicle and be able to travel throughout their assigned territory on a daily basis.
Some overnight travel will be required.
Ability to coordinate multiple projects and ensure customer satisfaction
