Actalent Project Controls Engineer in Macomb, Michigan

Hiring for a Project Controls Engineer for an assembly systems integrator. Will be joining in-progress projects, and then transition to leading projects from a Controls standpoint. Projects include GA and BIW for primarily Ford and Stellantis; amongst other suppliers. Will be primarily managing the controls projects and interfacing with customers and managing timelines, but time to time may do some of the technical engineering work as well as required. Projects will include both Siemens and Allen Bradley PLC's and HMI's. EPlan is primarily used for Hardware Design. Travel for customer visits and site checks will be required.

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years experience as a Project Controls Engineer within Automation OR 10+ years experience as a Controls Engineer for an Integrator

  • 5+ years programming from scratch within either Allen Bradley OR Siemens

  • Controls Hardware knowledge of either EPlan or AutoCAD Electrical

  • Experience interfacing with customers and managing deadlines and timelines

  • Ability to travel as needed

Additional Information:

  • 12 month contact-to-direct hire.

  • $40-$50/hour for first year. 1.5x for overtime; 10 hours of overtime per week is anticipated.
