Job Title: Field Service Technician
Job Description
We are seeking a Field Service Technician/Electrician to join our dynamic frontline team. You will have the opportunity to travel around the country to various manufacturing facilities. Your primary responsibility will be to document power distribution systems and electrical control panels, capturing the necessary information for conducting an arc flash analysis and installing appropriate arc flash labels. This involves removing electrical panel covers and dead fronts to accurately document essential electrical attributes, including cable and wire sizes, lengths, types, quantities, fuse and breaker specifications and settings, transformer type, configuration, size, and voltages.
Responsibilities
Travel to customer manufacturing facilities across the country.
Document power distribution systems and electrical control panels.
Capture detailed electrical attributes necessary for arc flash analysis.
Remove electrical panel covers and dead fronts to accurately document electrical characteristics.
Install appropriate arc flash labels based on documented data.
Essential Skills
Experience in electrical field service and troubleshooting.
Ability to handle mechanical repairs, installations, and maintenance.
Knowledge of arc flash analysis and related safety protocols.
Proficiency in working with wiring, electronics, pneumatics, and hydraulics.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Proficiency with electrical and mechanical systems.
Experience with repair and installation of electrical equipment.
Strong understanding of transformer types, configurations, sizes, and voltages.
Work Environment
This role involves traveling to various manufacturing facilities across the country. You will work with a range of electrical and mechanical equipment, and must adhere to safety protocols at all times. The position requires attention to detail and a commitment to precision in documenting electrical systems.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $28.00
