Job Title: CMM Technician
Job Description
A family-owned company in Shelby that produces precision machined components and assemblies for the automotive, truck, and bus industries is looking for a Quality Technician/Engineer for the day shift.
Responsibilities
Perform quality control inspections on metal parts using various measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, CMM, and special gauges to ensure product conformity.
Prepare PPAP packages, maintain PFMEA and Control Plans, and update them as needed.
Lead the annual IATF audits conducted by certification boards.
Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions to resolve quality issues.
Develop and implement quality control procedures and work instructions.
Collaborate with production and engineering teams to resolve quality issues and improve overall product quality.
Perform regular LPAs and audits of production processes to identify areas for improvement.
Develop and maintain quality metrics and reports to track performance and identify trends.
Essential Skills
3 years of quality engineer/technician experience.
Ability to set up and operate CMM machines.
Proficiency in using micrometers, gauges, calipers, etc.
Experience with CMM programming, inspection, and calibration.
Knowledge of IATF standards.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience in preparing PPAP packages.
Ability to maintain and update PFMEA and Control Plans.
Strong problem-solving skills for conducting root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions.
Ability to develop and maintain quality metrics and reports.
Experience with quality assurance and blueprint reading.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $60000.00 - $85000.00

This is a fully onsite position in Macomb,MI.
