Job Description: Schulte Boutique and Lifestyle, LLC seeks to fill five (5) temporary, full-time seasonal groundskeepers from 04/01/2025 to 11/03/2025 at the worksite of 8593 Cudahy Circle, Mackinac Island, MI 49757 to be responsible for the daily inspection and overall upkeep and maintenance of hotel building and grounds; clean & care for buildings, facilities, and exterior of property to ensure they are maintained in a safe, clean and neat condition; perform a range of landscaping operations that may include using garden and landscaping equipment for mowing, painting, pruning, trimming, installation of plant material, care of flowers and bedding plants; repair damaged grounds areas; notify management of any repairs needed (lighting, public areas, parking lot, etc.); spread fertilizers, herbicides, or insecticides onto grass, shrubs, and trees; assist with performing minor electrical and mechanical repairs; empty all common area waste baskets and keep receptacles clean; attend safety meetings & other related meetings; respond to guest requests and questions and report guest issues and complaints in a hospitable manner to ensure guest satisfaction; be responsible for the care, maintenance and inventory of all supplies and equipment owned by the property.

Requirements: No minimum education or prior work experience is required.

Special Requirements: Ability to operate various types of power equipment including lawnmowers, trimmers, hedge trimmers, leaf blowers, and other landscaping equipment; ability to use hand tools including rake, tamper, shovel, spade, shears, wheelbarrow, and other landscaping hand tools required for landscaping; must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time; must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions. On the job training is provided.

Work Schedule: Employer offers at least 40 hours of work per week. Work may be performed on any day of the week from Monday through Sunday with the work schedule from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Wage: $16.71 per hour. Overtime hours may be available based on business needs at a rate of $25.07 per hour.

Single Work Week Guarantee and Frequency of Pay: Employer will use a single workweek as its standard for computing wages use. Workers will be paid biweekly.

On the Job Training: On the job training is provided.

Deductions from Pay: Employer will make all deductions from the worker's paycheck required by federal, state, or local laws. Subsidized on-site lodging is offered at a rate of $50 per week. If utilized, Employer will deduct for the cost of lodging at the rate of $50 per week.

Board, Lodging, or other Facilities: Subsidized on site lodging is offered at a rate of $50 per week. If utilized, Employer will deduct for the cost of lodging at the rate of $50 per week.

Transportation and subsistence: If the worker completes 50 percent of the work contract period, the employer will arrange and pay directly for transportation and subsistence from the place of recruitment to the place of work. Upon completion of the work contract or where the worker is dismissed earlier, the employer will provide or pay for worker's reasonable costs of return transportation and subsistence back home or to the place the worker originally departed to work, except where the worker will not return due to subsequent employment with another employer or where the employer has appropriately reported a worker's voluntary abandonment of employment. The amount of transportation payment or reimbursement will be equal to the most economical and reasonable common carrier for the distances involved. Daily subsistence will be provided at a rate of at least $15.88 per day during travel to a maximum of $59.00 per day with receipts.
