Boxercraft Inc. Building Custodian & Maintenance in Mableton, Georgia
Role and Responsibilities
Sweep, scrub, mop floors; vacuum all rugs and carpets.
Clean and restock supplies in the break areas and all restrooms after each break.
Clean and polishes furniture and fixtures, windows, glass partitions, and mirrors.
Dust furniture, walls, machines, and equipment making sure that everything is kept clean and maintained.
In charge of emptying waste receptacles and scheduling the containers to be picked up by the trash collectors.
Must have an understanding of how cleaning chemicals work together when mixed. Understand hazcom and SDS instructions for all chemicals in case of an accident.
Make minor adjustments/repairs to heating, cooling, plumbing, and electrical systems.
Follow up on scheduled PM services for equipment throughout the building.
In charge of contacting contractors for quotes or scheduling repairs.
Sometimes required to monitor building security and safety.
Moves heavy furniture, equipment, and supplies.
Other custodial tasks in warehouse including cleaning (required as needed)
Qualifications and Education Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent
Previous experience in custodial and maintenance fields are preferred.
Must possess excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
Ability to multi-task and work independently.
Must have initiative , and attention to detail to be successful in the position.
Work Environment
Work involves standing, walking, bending, and lifting for extended periods of time.
Must be able to lift 50lbs.
Climate temperatures will vary.
Flexible work hours
Responsible for keeping work area safe and clean on a daily basis.
