Position/Scope:
To prepare customs entry by entering commercial invoice data for Customs brokerage in compliance with the national regulatory provisions and in adherence to the company's policies and procedures.
To perform tasks as requested, including, but not exclusive to, assisting in general Brokerage operations.
Responsible for all aspects of the job to the Brokerage Supervisor.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
Accurately enter data & value for import and export products for customs clearance.
Accurately update systems databases with appropriate information.
Ensure shipments data entered within specified timeframes in line with approved Key Performance Indicators.
Liaise professionally and cordially with customers both internal and external.
Respond to all queries in a timely manner as defined by standard operational procedure.
Complete designated training within specified timeframes.
Knowledge:
Government Regulations
Standard Operational Procedures for Customs Import Operations, including Expeditors KPI's
ICS and Expedient systems
Geography
Accounting System
International freight Shipping terms
Know the Mission statement and Expeditors Attributes
General Mathematical knowledge, including but not exclusive to, dealing with Exchange Rates, Foreign Currency and General Ledger
Complete understanding of the movement of Goods
Skills:
Competent use of Microsoft Excel & Word
Competent use of Outlook email system
Competent use of the Expedient and the ICS system
Competent and courteous communication and phone manner
Behavior:
