In today's data-driven world, the importance of a robust data strategy and governance framework cannot be overstated. The dsm-firmenich Data and AI Unit plays a pivotal role in ensuring that data is managed as a strategic asset, driving informed decision-making and fostering innovation across the organization. To strengthen our team, we are seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to lead our Data Management & Quality team. As the Director Data Management & Quality, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the way we handle, govern, and enhance our data assets. • Build and lead an engaged and collaborative team by coaching, providing feedback and investing in the growth and development of team members.• Promote a high-performance culture including performance management of team members.• Contribute to the business strategy by acting as a delivery lead, special assignment project manager or senior product manager. • Define and enforce data quality standards, tools and best practices, working closely with data stewards and data owners across the organization to define and monitor data quality KPIs and measures. • Liaise with the Head of Group Data Office to define and implement the data management and data quality strategy in line with the overall data strategy and governance framework. • Assess and build current and future capabilities, manage (internal and external) capacity and relationships and ensure appropriate utilization of team members.

YOU BRING

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in areas such as data management, data analytics or data science• At least 8 years of leadership experience in senior data management and data quality roles, including experience in managing data teams or departments in complex international organizations.• In-depth understanding of data quality frameworks and techniques, as well as data quality standards and processes.• Very good practical knowledge of data management and data quality tools and technologies, including INFORMATICA tool, data lineage, data quality software, data profiling tools, data cataloguing and metadata management solutions.• Knowledge of data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) and the ability to ensure data management and quality practices align with compliance requirements.• Strong people management skills and ability to communicate in a clear and effective way to C-Level stakeholders across our global organization.• Fluency in English (both written and spoken)
