Kijung Hospitality Group Inc. Line Cook in Lynnwood, Washington

A line cook prepares different kinds of food, help kitchen workers in the preparation of food items and set up allocated stations for menu, as instructed by the Kitchen Manager and in compliance with standards.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Set up stations and collect all necessary supplies to prepare menu for service
  • Weigh and measure ingredients for cooking
  • Prepare a variety of foods including meat, seafood, poultry, vegetable and cold food items
  • Prepare sauces and garnishes for allocated station
  • Cover, date and correctly store all food items as per safe food-handling procedures Inform chef in advance of likely shortages
  • Other duties as assigned

  • The employee is occasionally required to stand; climb or balance; and stoop or kneel. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move objects up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move objects up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Qualifications

  • High School/GED or higher education preferred
  • 1+ year(s) of experience in high paced kitchen environment preferred
  • Knowledge in various cooking ingredients preferred
  • Familiar with the taste of authentic Korean food preferred
