Vadis Employment Consultant in Lynnwood, Washington

We are hiring for two positions that will call our Lynnwood Office home base. One position will serve clients from the North King County border into Downtown Seattle, while the other position will serve clients throughout Snohomish County.

Each day at Vadis varies as you put your advocacy skills to use as an Employment Consultant. Throughout your week, you will positively impact the lives of our clients through:

  • Excellent customer service and professional communication
  • Facilitation of referral and intake meetings for clients seeking Vadis services
  • Conducting person-centered planning to assist clients in developing and meeting their employment goals.
  • Assisting clients in skill building through work experiences and individual coaching.
  • Regular communications with clients and their support systems regarding relevant employment updates.
  • Development of relationships with the business community to secure jobs for people with disabilities.
  • Providing on-site training and guidance to both the client and their supervisors/coworkers when clients start their jobs.
  • Follow up with working clients to ensure that they and their employers are satisfied.

Pay and Benefits

  • This is a full-time position with an entry-level wage of $25 per hour or more, depending on experience.
  • Full salary range for this position is $25 - $28.84 per hour. Movement towards top of range is acquired through the performance evaluation process and as consultant progresses in their career.
  • Medical/vision, dental, and life insurance coverage at low premium cost to employees. Dependent coverage available at employee cost.
  • 403(b) retirement plan, with up to a 6% company match dependent on contributions. (Match available after one year of employment).
  • Opportunities for advancement.
  • Business mileage reimbursement is currently .56/mile.
  • Vacation accrual begins at 4.66 hours per month.
  • Sick Leave accrues at 1 hour for every 40 hours worked.

Work hours are typically Monday through Friday, from 8:00am to 4:30pm. On occasion, based on client schedules, there may be assignments that take place outside these hours or on weekends to ensure successful outcomes for those we support.

Requirements
  • Ability and desire to work respectfully with people with disabilities.
  • Ability to express ideas clearly and concisely, orally and in writing.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse groups and individuals from a variety of backgrounds.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Personal use of a vehicle, with proper insurance coverage due to variances in client work hours and worksites.
  • Driver's license with favorable driving record.
  • Ability to pass initial and ongoing criminal background checks.
