GE Aerospace Production Assembly Quality Lead in Lynn, Massachusetts

Job Description Summary

The Quality Lead will have responsibility to leverage product knowledge, data analytics and customer feedback to develop a zero defect strategy and drive continuous improvement for the customer in a Production environment. In the role of Quality Lead, you will lead the coordination between production quality team and customer expectations ensuring the timely delivery of conforming and compliant engines to our customers.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Operate as the pillar leader of new make production assembly overall quality and conformance of manufacturing, supplied goods and inspection of production engines.

  • Lead continuous improvements to processes and procedures

  • Lead investigations related to quality issues, identifying root causes and mitigating corrective actions

  • Identify and lead implementation of corrective actions and improvements across engine programs assuring best practice sharing

  • Certified to perform quality management system audits to support LATO and contribute to creating audit schedule

  • Serve as leader for internal and external audits (DoD, DNV, FAA, etc.)

  • Drive robust Predictive Quality Framework by establishing Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis event schedule to foster a culture of risk mitigation.

  • Partner with Quality Systems to adopt and adapt Predictive Quality Assessment to production assembly to drive continuous improvement.

  • Lead team as resident expert on quality systems and technical manufacturing processes to develop new and innovative approaches to problem solving.

  • Present Quality key process indicator metrics to plant staff and leadership.

  • Own and drive key process indicator metrics within team to business objectives.

  • Create and implement standard work culture to drive consistency and robust execution on metric improvements

  • Mentor and develop team on quality system expertise and cross training to assure no disruptions to production support.

  • Promote team diversity and a culture of transparency

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with a minimum of 4 years of experience in Quality)

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Production Quality or Manufacturing Environment
