Eastern Bank Physical Security Systems Administrator in Lynn, Massachusetts
The Security Systems Administrator directly supports the overall operations of the Eastern Bank security systems. The incumbent serves in a proactive role to support the bank, its people, operations, and assets through collaboration with key stakeholders across the bank.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES :
Assists with day-to-day operations of the Eastern Bank security systems. which includes, but is not limited to, ensuring all systems are updated on firmware, software and systems are operating to maximum efficiency.
Conduct daily review of Video Monitoring System (VMS) to ensure compliance the Eastern Bank policy standards for retention and address any non-compliant issues immediately in coordination with internal and external resources if needed.
Conducting review of the Access Control systems by location while addressing issues and mitigating risk through gap analysis and cost-effective corrective actions.
Prepare, review, and provide Stakeholder reports with compliance related data from various Security Systems in a timely manner.
Assists with the development and delivery of security-related training for Bank staff and contractors.
Review Security incident reports to ensure that actions by the security contractor are consistent with established procedures and align with awareness, training, and strategic initiatives.
Supports the emergency preparedness efforts related to Eastern Bank security systems, including, but not limited to, active shooter, external threat scenarios, and civil unrest.
Collaborates with Emergency Management to support other emergency preparedness efforts.
Act as initial contact for Physical Security for collaboration with internal and external Stakeholders requiring the integration of Bank Security systems.
Supports investigations into Eastern Bank security system related incidents occurring on bank criminal and non-criminal activity in coordination with Corporate Security Investigations.
Proactively identifies changes in the internal and external threat landscape and feeds that information to supervisor to incorporate into the department’s current capabilities and future roadmaps.
Design, develop and maintain a Physical Security Web page.
Assists in the initial Eastern Bank security system threat assessments for the bank.
Possess or obtain Tier 1 level certifications within 9 months of employment for Feenics, Verint and DMP systems.
PROBLEM SOLVING & DECISION MAKING :
Performance at this level requires a high degree of independence, confidently making decisions and referring only significant issues to the department manager and director. Makes recommendations regarding the banks’ monetary assets, reputation the safety / security of its colleagues and visitors.
REQUIREMENTS :
Education
High school diploma or equivalent; (bachelor’s degree preferred)
A combination of experience and education will be considered.
Experience
3-5 years of experience working in a security operation, intelligence and/or investigations role. However, training and internships will be considered to wave years of experience.
Experience with Access Control, VMS and Intrusion systems. Knowledge of Feenics, Verint and DMP systems is preferred.
Experience with collecting and analyzing intelligence information and producing actionable intelligence products preferred.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time. The employee frequently is required to operate a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and printer. They also occasionally travel to locations outside of the facility, to attend meetings, trainings, events, and other business activities. The employee must have the ability to communicate information and ideas so others will understand. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations. The employee must have near visual acuity for working on a computer, far visual acuity, and peripheral vision necessary for driving a motor vehicle. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move boxes or equipment up to 50 pounds across office for various needs.

Persons holding this position are generally subject to inside environmental conditions having the lighting, temperature, and noise level of an open floor-plan office environment (moderate, but occasionally loud at times). This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets. Occasionally the employee will need to move self in different positions to accomplish tasks in various environments including tight and confined spaces, e.g., under desks and server rooms. They occasionally will be required to travel to other work locations.
This position is a hybrid position.
Available 24/7 to field and triage urgent issues.
This position is on call.
