Amazon Senior Program Manager, EU Packaging, Sr PM, EU Packaging in Luxembourg, Luxembourg

Description

Are you passionate about sustainability and interested in driving packaging waste reduction efforts across Amazon? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for an experienced, driven, analytical, and creative Senior Product Manager to join our EU Sustainable Packaging Team.

As a Senior Product Manager in this role, you will have the unique opportunity to be part of a core team that actively works to reduce packaging waste, while delighting our customers and helping Amazon reach its Climate Pledge goals. The EU Sustainable Packaging Team owns the programs that aim to reduce the outbound packaging material weight per shipment, ultimately lessening the burden of packaging waste management for our customers, decreasing fulfillment costs, and lowering carbon emissions.

Our team is composed of Program Managers, Packaging Experts, and Data Scientists who interface with key stakeholders across Sustainability, Operations, Engineering, Amazon Robotics, Finance, Procurement, Legal, and Public Relations. Together, we identify solutions that eliminate waste, reduce damage, and drive significant savings for Amazon, all while delivering the best-in-class sustainability experience for our customers around the world.

In this highly visible role, you will be responsible for defining the strategy and driving the packaging quality roadmap for the European Packaging Team. You will need to think big and execute, creating scalable solutions that can be applied across the billions of products Amazon sells. Your communication, negotiation, and influencing skills will be essential as you work to drive consensus across multiple stakeholders while championing sustainability initiatives.

To be successful in this role, you will need to passionately develop new packaging concepts based on your expertise in packaging materials, operational processes, and supply chains. You will design and implement operational test plans to enable rapid learning and iteration of packaging design and material specifications. Staying up-to-date on the latest packaging trends, you will quickly identify the best technical solutions to improve packaging end-of-life and circularity for Amazon and our customers. Once a solution is designed, you will shift to an operator's perspective to ensure efficient and effective implementation across our fulfillment network.

The ideal candidate for this role will have a track record of combining both business and technical competencies. You will be able to gather business requirements and create data-driven solutions that have measurable customer impact, while demonstrating exemplary written and verbal communication skills. You will be responsible for setting the right vision, strategy, and roadmap, and working alongside stakeholders to bring them to life.

The ability to work independently and thrive in an ambiguous environment is a must. Ownership of your work is extremely important, and you should have a proven record of driving projects and strategic initiatives to completion. You must be a motivated, agile individual with strong time management and project management skills. Additionally, this role requires excellent troubleshooting, problem-solving, and the ability to succeed in a fast-paced, technical environment.

Beyond being passionate about delivering extensible, on-time solutions, you should also be obsessed with contributing to the development of high-performance teams through rigorous goal-setting, disciplined attention to performance metrics, continuous process improvement, and mentorship.

If this sounds like the perfect opportunity for you, we encourage you to apply. Help us make a difference in reducing packaging waste and delighting our customers as part of the EU Sustainable Packaging Team.
