This role acts as a Finance Analyst for one or more countries and sectors for Amazon Business in Europe, supporting the analysis and planning for growth program. This role will lead the finance activities, create the reporting mechanisms that are scalable and analysis, including creating new framework required to grow B2B spend. The role will drive growth through detailed financial modeling and identifying/improving key business indicators such sales productivity, profitability, sales mix to provide insightful inputs to the business leaders to drive maximum growth. Additional responsibilities may include delivering cost and process improvements, performing reviews of forecast vs. actual variances, and communicating with managements and peers about the business issues and demanding actions.
This position is expected to interact directly extensively with AB Business Management in EU and working closely with Amazon Business teams and finance teams across other locations. The position will report to AB Finance Head in EU.
Key job responsibilities
• Act as a finance partner working directly with Amazon Business leadership, supporting one or more Country and/or Sales segments.
• Lead the financial planning and analysis processes with metrics and data insights for financial risks, opportunities, and investment decisions.
• Lead the preparation of weekly, monthly, and annual business performance reviews.
• Develop, report, and analyse key input metrics that support team goals.
• Influence business decisions with effective verbal and written communication, data driven analysis and modelling, and presentation of options and alternatives.
Basic Qualifications
Experience in building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision-making
Experience in identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan
Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results
Preferred Qualifications
MBA or CPA in Finance or Accounting
Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
Experience in creating process improvements with automation and analysis
