JOB SUMMARY:
Gainatechnicalfoundation,acquireleadership skills, project management experience, and cross-functional process knowledge. The Software Engineer Internship willassistwith the development, auditing, and documentation of key processes andworkflows
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Design, develop, integrate, test, and document flight simulatorsoftware
Work closely with engineers of varying disciplines to meet projectrequirements
Participate in engineering designreviews
Perform hardware/software integration & testing on flight simulator trainingdevices
Provide engineering staff with recommendations for software/hardwareenhancements
Work on projects that have a measurable impact on ourbusiness
Research and analyze data, such as customer design proposal, specifications, and manuals todeterminefeasibility of design or application
Qualifications
EDUCATION:
Pursuing a, Physics,ComputerEngineering, Computer Science,or related field.
EXPERIENCE / QUALIFICATIONS :
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Professional and diplomatic demeanor
Strong senseof accountability and integrity
Strong problem-solving skills
Ability to deal with change and work in a dynamicenvironment
Applicants must be authorized to work lawfully in the U.S. for Textron Aviation at the time of making application, and visa sponsorship is not available for this position, including for F-1 students and J-1 exchange visitors who will need employment sponsorship.
Summer internships are 40 hours per week typically from late-May to early-August lasting 10 weeks.
Candidates must be able to work onsite for the entirety of the internship program unless approved otherwise by the hiring manager.
