Salary starts at $41.20/hour

Primary Duties and Accountabilities

  • Uses specialized electronic, pneumatic, hydraulic, and gas analyzing devices and analog and test equipment.

  • Designs and constructs special test equipment and coordinates tests of systems and equipment.

  • Analyzes test results and recommends corrective action when required.

  • Uses, reviews and recommends revisions to procedures, prints, wiring diagrams, technical manuals and other documents as required.

  • Recommends designs, design changes, and installs modifications to power plant protective, monitoring, and control systems.

  • Coordinates activities with other plant personnel, work groups and vendors.

  • Perform tasks inside radiologically controlled areas.

  • Maintains a level of qualifications as required by applicable ASTM and ANSI standards, and site training programs.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Must meet ANSI requirements.

  • High School diploma or GED

  • Over six years' experience with power plant instrumentation and controls or equivalent combination of formal education/training and experience related to instrument maintenance.

  • Satisfactory completion of Technician Occupations Selection System Test.

  • Must meet requirements of NRC psychological testing regulations.

  • Must satisfactorily complete radiation safety training, including respirator qualifications.

  • Must be able to qualify for performance of inspections for functional and surveillance testing in accordance with applicable ASTM and ANSI standards.
