• Lead and motivate kitchen staff to uphold high standards of food quality, presentation, and cleanliness.
• Prepare and cook a variety of homestyle dishes, including but not limited to comfort foods, soups, stews, roasts, and casseroles.
• Maintain standardized recipes, ensuring consistency in flavor and portion sizes.
• Coordinate kitchen operations, including requesting supplies, managing inventory, and maintaining kitchen equipment.
• Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation regulations.
• Collaborate with management to develop menu items and specials that cater to customer preferences and dietary restrictions.
• Train and mentor kitchen staff on proper cooking techniques and safety procedures.
• Help manage food costs and strive to minimize waste while maximizing profitability.

Proven experience as a Cook or Lead Cook, preferably in a senior living community or similar setting.

Strong culinary skills and a passion for preparing homestyle meals.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact compassionately with senior residents and staff.
