Position Description:

Performs responsible and complex duties associated with a specialized function of a section of clerical employees. Duties may be generally described as planning, assigning, coordinating, directing, scheduling, evaluating, verifying, training, and processing of information. Thorough knowledge of policies, procedures, and methods for the area of responsibility is required. Initiative and independent judgments are frequently exercised in formulating procedures or methods, and in program coordination. Work is performed under general supervision within University policies and procedures. Job performance is based on overall operational effectiveness.

Major/Essential Functions:

Provides administrative support to the assigned Development Officer.

Makes travel arrangements and submits travel applications and expenses.

Processes monthly PCard statements for the development office (Collecting receipts, creating

necessary documents such as food forms).

Prepares donor correspondence (thank you letters, birthday cards, scholarship stewardship pieces).

Tracks donor information in the Advance system: updating biographical information, requesting lists,

etc.

Establishes and builds relationships with a wide range of alumni, maintaining regular contact via

phone, email, and printed materials.

May include event planning and coordinating.

Working with the Unit Manager for External Relations and Outreach to establish and maintain

student-alumni connections.

Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm

Preferred Qualifications:

1) Knowledgeable and skilled at TTU platforms for the submission of Travel, Procurement processes,

Institutional Advancement processes, and other training as required for the position. 2) Experience in

university or non-profit development/fundraising.

2-5 Years of Office Experience.

Required Qualifications:

A minimum of a high school diploma or the equivalent. Three years progressively responsible clerical experience. Additional education and/or related experience to equal three years may substitute on a year for year basis.
