HR Generalist IIPerforms highly complex human resources-related work in a district. Responsible for one or more human resources program(s). Work requires reviewing, preparing, and maintaining confidential information. Work requires contact with management, employees, retirees, health care providers, and state and federal agencies. Employees at this level establish their own work plan and priorities to meet set objectives. Issues are rarely referred to the supervisor but are handled at the occurrence.HR Generalist IIIPerforms and coordinates advanced human resources-related work in a district. Facilitates one or more human resources program(s). May serve as a lead worker for professional and administrative employees. Work requires reviewing, preparing, and maintaining confidential information. Work requires contact with management, employees, retirees, health care providers, and state and federal agencies. Employees at this level establish their own work plan and priorities to meet set objectives. Issues are rarely referred to the supervisor but are handled at the occurrence.Essential Duties:HR Generalist IIEnters, maintains, and coordinates data such as applicant, salary, and benefits transactions using a Human Resources Information Management System (PeopleSoft).Participates in hiring program activities, including, but not limited to managing job openings, screening employment applications, assisting in interviewing, and facilitating the hiring process.Coordinates, and conducts employee forums, new employee orientation, annual benefit enrollment, or human resources-related meetings.Informs employees of changes affecting pay and benefits.Interprets human resources policies and procedures and pertinent state/federal rules and regulations with guidance from Supervisor or Lead Worker.Represents the Department at job and benefits fairs and internal and external committees.Responds to inquiries and complaints regarding human resources policies and procedures.Responds to and processes requests and inquiries from employees for various human resources activities and programs.Provides guidance to management on sensitive issues in areas, such as substance abuse and employee discipline.Responds to and processes requests and inquiries from employees for various human resources activities and programs.Keeps abreast of applicable rules, regulations, policies and procedures.Serve as point of contact for certain HR Programs.Review and manage routine and complex medical related employee needs, including Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA) and Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)Performs other job responsibilities as assigned.HR Generalist IIIAll of the above and:Plans and coordinates projects.Coordinates hiring program activities including, but not limited to monitoring and managing job openings, screening employment applications, interviewing, and facilitating the hiring process.Develops and provides human resources training.Plans, evaluates, and implements human resources policies, procedures and programs.Develop staff through mentorship and one-on-one coaching.Serve as a lead worker and the related tasks.Serves as a subject matter expert to other human resources professionals.Provides information, answers questions, and advises employees, supervisors, managers, districts, and divisions on human resources policies and procedures via computer, phone, or in person.Prepares, reviews, and monitors correspondence, reports, forms, and transactions.Consults and coordinates with Department management/staff, and governmental agencies regarding interpretation of rules, regulations, and laws to ensure program compliance with state and federal laws and regulations with guidance from Supervisor or Lead Worker.Researches, analyzes, and resolves human resources issues; and provides solutions and recommendations to Department management.Reviews various legal and administrative documents.
