Providence Director Sales - Lubbock, TX in Lubbock, Texas

THE ROLE

Key responsibilities will be building sales and expense budgets, managing those budgets as well as financial forecasting and delivering on financial goals. They will also need to build and maintain strong relationships with each business unit to assist in developing a winning strategic approach to develop and grow referrals and revenue in their geography of accounts. The Director of Sales will be responsible for achieving new sales for all business units while retaining current volumes consistent with the annual budgeted revenue and the strategic plans of each business unit. The position also provides leadership across Providence Sales and Services in developing further refinement of current market strategies and developing strategies for new market opportunities related to product or service line expansion, geographic expansion and collaboration with other Providence businesses to enhance the offerings of Providence in the community. The Director may provide leadership for a team of Account Executives to accomplish specific objectives and strategic outcomes as established by each business unit.

MAJOR CHALLENGES:

  1. Strategizing goals and maintaining performance with multiple complex business units.

  2. Building a strategy to develop a sales geography with all customers.

  3. Managing change as we move into a new organizational structure with new/different business units.

  4. Establishing metrics and targets across business units that have disparate computer systems and reporting.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Generates and participates in developing special marketing materials to optimize sales for Texas and New Mexico.

  • Accountable for development of strategic goals for Texas and New Mexico.

  • Develops strategic growth plans for new business and territory expansion.

  • Accountable of sales and referral results for defined geography, including ownership and execution of Next Level Planning.

  • Researches and analyzes market and competitor data to evaluate and enhance marketing opportunities, competitiveness and strategic planning.

  • Understands and keeps current with trends affecting outreach services and its clients. Acts as a resource on legislative, regulatory, reimbursement and competitive issues with all business units and prospective customers.

  • Understands and routinely assesses the profitability of accounts in relation to the services provided. Uses profitability assessments to determine appropriateness of additional client service requests.

  • Prepares a monthly sales report updating progress towards meeting goals, describing competitive activity, service issues, identifying customers at risk and setting goals for the upcoming month.

  • Accountable for the usage, governance and maintenance of Dynamics (Sales CRM tool). Ensuring that Account Executives are trained and utilizing the CRM to its fullest extent, including timely and detailed recaps of customer calls.

  • Identifies outcome measurements, targets and provides status reports to leadership.

  • Performs any other activities as necessary to achieve the goals set forth in the general summary of the position.

  • Provides performance management to team members to guide their achievement of targets.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's Degree; or equivalent educ/experience

  • 5 years of experience in a healthcare sales capacity

  • Progressive Leadership experience

  • Experience should demonstrate a proven record of leading others, as well as sales generation and meeting or exceeding revenue/referral targets.

  • Excellent verbal and written skills

  • Ability to communicate to a wide variety of audiences.

  • Ability to deal with high levels of ambiguity and complexity.

  • Business development skills: proven ability to identify and assess new opportunities in a variety of service lines.

  • Demonstrated understanding of business operations

  • Understands broad technical concepts related to all business units within Providence Sales and Services

  • Knowledge of all accreditation/regulatory requirements pertaining to sales and marketing activities

  • Ability to perform profitability and margin analyses.

  • Engages in active listening and demonstrates the ability to translate information gleaned into solutions and sales.

  • Ability to solve problems and remedy conditions in order to retain business.

  • Ability to organize workflow in a dynamic environment.

  • Ability to select, lead, train encourage, motivate and counsel employees.

  • Ability to work with a variety of people and positions.

  • Ability to develop strategic plans to promote territory growth.

  • Ability to lead and manage teams, holding them accountable for outcomes and mentoring their growth and development.

  • Familiar with the Microsoft Office suite.
