Performs varied and complex administrative duties in the management and coordination of a large specialized project and/or program. Major/Essential Functions:
Executive Support and Strategic Planning: Serve as a core member of the executive administrative team, contributing to departmental management and strategic planning initiatives
Financial Administration: Oversee departmental finances, including annual budget preparation, monthly account reconciliation, and expense management. Manage P-card and travel card reconciliations, purchase orders, budget revisions, and other financial reporting functions (Chrome River, TechBuy, etc.).
Travel and Expense Management: Prepare travel pre-approvals and expense reports for faculty, staff, and students. Supervise arranging travel accommodation and reservation
Position Management: Coordinate all job searches, particularly faculty searches in BrassRing and Knexa systems from requisition to ePAF preparation and submission. Will be responsible for record keeping and documentation.
Data and Performance Reporting: Produce monthly and annual reports detailing financial performance, accomplishments, providing insights into continuous improvement and planning.
Event Planning and Coordination: Assist the department chair with event logistics, from planning to execution, to enhance community and departmental engagement.
Staff Supervision: Provide leadership to administrative support staff, including an IT Technician and an Assistant, ensure effective operations and productivity.

Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, or a related field (master's preferred).
5 years in experience in administrative or financial management, preferably in a higher education setting.
Proficiency in Texas Tech Systems (TechBuy, COGNOS, etc.), travel systems (Chrome River), and office productivity tools.
Strong leadership and supervisory skills.
Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities.

Required Qualifications:
