Tufts Medicine Dietary Patient Services Lead Aide in Lowell, Massachusetts

This is a great opportunity to work in food services, close to home, in a community hospital. The Lead Dietary Aide is a great opportunity for an experience food service worker looking for the next step in their career.

Hours: Full time, 40 hours per week, 1st shift- 6:00am - 2:30pm

Every other weekend and holiday shifts required.

Location: Lowell General Main Campus - Dietary dept

In this role the individual, under the leadership of the department manager, will coordinate the activities of food service workers. Responsibilities include:

  • Assist in ensuring a safe working environment throughout the facility for all employees.

  • Oversees tray line operations for patient services

  • Assist in monitoring employee productivity and provides suggestions for increased service or productivity.

  • Responsible for day-to-day activities and assigns responsibility for specific work or functional activities as directed by on-site management.

  • Works with customers to ensure satisfaction in such areas as quality, service and problem resolution.

  • Interacts with visitors, guests, patients and co-employees involved directly or indirectly with retail food operations.

  • Report all accidents and injuries in a timely manner.

  • Complies with all company safety and risk management policies and procedures.

  • Ensures adequate staffing on a day to day basis, adjusts accordingly.

  • Serves as working lead coordinating activities of workers or service employees engaged in patient food services

  • Observes and leads the work performance of the dietary aides to ensure adherence to established standards

Requirements:

  • Prior food service experience

  • Strong customer service

  • Supervisory experience a plus
